Normally we get to travel to Cincy & Dayton for Easter, but due to the little rascal in my belly we didn't think travelling this year would be in our best interest. Therefore, we found other fun ways to celebrate the holiday!
Friday morning, we visited a nearby park, Elizabeth Park, for the "Marshmallow Drop". Over 20,000 marshmallows are dropped. They do the drop three times allowing for the different age groups. This also made it more fun for us, as we got to watch the helicopter drop marshmallows three times. (Or actually two since we were a little late & missed the first one.) The kids could then turn in one marshmallow for a new coloring book.
Friday afternoon, we met up with our neighbors for a fun Easter Egg hunt through 4 backyards. It was organized well, with one of the rules being each kid could only find 15 eggs, so this made it fun for the little ones a well. Plus there were some eggs with sayings for a treasure hut, and finally a golden egg with an extra special prize. (Unfortunately, the golden egg is still waiting to be found! Two days later, and Kim still isn't giving out any hints...he he.)
Then Sunday, we were able to spend the morning at the Easter service at Church. Despite their cute outfits, and candy bribery, these are the best pictures I was able to get!
Finally, who would have guessed a new spin brush from the Easter Bunny would be so exciting!! I think she has brushed her teeth about 20 times already today! Decorating it with stickers was pretty fun too!
