Nathan Stats - 4 Months

Update to Nathan's 4 month stats.  We did pretty good with our measurements.  17.7 lbs versus 18 lbs, 17" head versus 17" head, however length we measured 25", and at the office it was 27".  I am not quite sure he grew 2" in the last week.

Nathan (4 months):
18 lbs = 75-90%
27" = 90-95%
17" = 50-75%

Tyler (4 months):
15 lbs = 25-50%
25.5" = 50-75%
16.5" = 25-50%

Brooke (4 months):
13 lb 5 oz = 25-50%
24.5" = 25-50%
15.75" = 10-25%

Random Blog Pictures! (Ok couldn't come up with a title)

OK, so I couldn't decide if I should do lots of little blog posts, or just roll everything into one.  Final decision was to roll it all into one! So here we go....

There is a nearby park, who's goal is to be "The best park in Downriver".  Well they have my vote!  Every time we have come to visit there is a park employee (or volunteer) either sweeping the rubber mulch off path in "safety town" or actually hand wiping down the equipment!  Plus the park also has a small, super fun splash pad, (and clean bathrooms.) Here are just a few pictures of the kids at play.

Next this takes us to a picture of my men!  I do love these guys!  Look Tyler's hair matches daddy's.  Also, a pictures where I found Tyler swaddling his Ken and singing Hush Little Baby.  I am sure he will appreciate hearing that when he is older.

Next we move on to Brooke's 49 month picture! Oh that's right you thought this would finally end by her 4th birthday....nope! The exciting news for Brooke this month is she has slept all the way through the night more times than she hasn't! Maybe the threat that she couldn't come on vacation to the cottage with us helped some?

Then we move to pictures of Kristen, Chris, Cindar & Nate! They stopped by for a quick BBQ and visit Saturday night. I can't believe I haven't seen them since I was pregnant with Brooke! Boo. Too bad Wisconsin is so far away.

"So Nick should we go check out what the kids are up to? They seem very quiet". "Nope, just enjoy the quiet....I am sure they are fine." I wonder how things would have been reversed if Tyler was the older sibling, and leaded Brooke to do things. At least the power tool helps....right?

And finally I will end this post with some cute Nate, Nate pictures.  It must be nice to play, take a short nap, and then wake up to play again.  So silly!

Last Weekend Fun....

Hopefully, I can post the pictures from this weekend soon too!

Last weekend, we decided to travel to our third zoo for the summer, the Detroit Zoo.  Unfortunately, this zoo has a hard time competing with the Toledo or Cincinnati Zoo as it doesn't have any elephants (they were shipped to California), and very few babies.  Plus the animals appear to be harder for little people to see in the exhibits.  HOWEVER, it was still a fun visit, and the kids were pumped to get new zoo sweatshirts, as mommy did realize how chilly it was outside.

The weekend also ended with a quick visit from my sister, Lea's, family on their way back from the cottage!  Plus we finally hung up Brooke's wind chime she made at the cottage.

Portrait Innovations Pictures

I absolutely LOVE the artistic / freelance photographer pictures, and aspire to be even marginally good one day.  I am sure a few more classes would help.  However, all the photographers I have found so far in our area would completely break the bank with how often I want to get pictures.  So we opted again to head to the very posed photo studio.  Fortunately, the kids did great! They took 99 pictures, and we walked away with 10 poses with 3+ sheets each, plus (3) photo books, 8x10 canvas wrapped picture, cards, and a CD of all the digital shots for like $129.99 + $13 (crazy jumbo package).  Not to shabby of a deal!

Here are a few of the silly ones.

And here are a few of the ones I really liked!

Nate, Nate 4 Month Pictures

Four Months old!  Like everyone says, time just flies watching babies grow up.  Nathan appears to be trying to grow up too quickly.  He is already sporting many of his 9 month outfits, which fit him perfectly, he is drinking 7 oz bottles at daycare, and he started eating cereal like a champ this weekend.  He has also decided he really can't go longer than 3 hours between meals, so we (I am) are feeding him around the clock....poor sleepy mommy.  Plus he loves rolling to his belly, which includes him getting "stuck" there, and also means you can find him quite a distance from where you put him.  Unlike his sister, he is not very content in one spot, so we are guessing he will be an early mover.

Here are his "at home stats".  We will see how these compare to the "Dr. Office stats" in a week.  25" long (50%), 17" head (50-75%), 17.7 lbs (75-90%).

He did a wonderful job with his monthly pictures, and was excited to sport his new "captain cutie" outfit.

Oh no, Nathan got stuck on his belly, and mommy got the camera instead of helping!  Brooke enjoyed helping to feed, until he got a little too messy. (Yes, he had started to drool a lot....no teeth we have found yet.)

Just for fun here are Brooke & Tyler's 4 month shots!

Daddy Hair Cut

I am guessing you noticed in Tyler's 2 year pictures he was due for another hair cut.  Nick decided it couldn't be too hard.  So he bought some clippers, and went to work.

He did very good for his first try!  Tyler did need a few jellybeans for encouragement.

Plus a special thank you to both sets of Grandparents for the new swings for the swing set!  The kids LOVE them!

Wow Tyler is 2!

July is such a fun month for birthdays!  Boy does Tyler look all grown up in his 2 year sign pictures.  Of course his brother and sister wanted to help again as well.  Tyler's official 2 yr weight is 28.8 lbs (50-75%), and his height is 34" (50%).

We enjoyed a quiet celebration, which included ice cream cake with the neighbors!

Tyler continues to win the prize of the best sleeper in the house.  Brooke used to sleep this well at 2 years too, so maybe its just a phase. (Let's hope not!)  He wants to do everything his sister does, and pretty much can.  If she learns how to climb up something, within about two tries he is right behind her.  Many times Brooke also lets her brother go first on stuff, example down the new slide.  Of course, it's so she can make sure it's safe for her, but Tyler is more than happy to help.

Despite being so grown up, he still loves to cuddle with his mommy or daddy before bed, and first thing in the morning before he is fully awake.

Happy Birthday Tyler Man!
