Ty Ty is 9 Months Old
Our little man is 9 months old!! We are having so much fun watching him grow, adventure, and learn new things all the time.
He is still drinking about 3 4oz bottles per day, and nursing about 5 times!! He takes his bottles at 9am, noon, and 3pm, and is nursing at 6pm, 8pm, 12pm, 4am, and 7am. He is one hungry little man. He is also eating foods at 9 am, and 6 pm. He is taking two naps at daycare (8-9am and 12-2pm) and I will let you guess how much he is sleeping at night based on his nursing schedule above.
He loves avocado, apple sauce, and anything he can feed himself like carrots, puffs, and cheerios. I take him in next week for his 9 month check up, but since we have been to the doctor about once a week for the past few months, I already know his "official" weight is around 21.5 lbs! Good thing we picked up his "big boy" car seat this past weekend. It's about time he moves out of his baby bucket.
He finally has 4 teeth, with his 4th top one poking through this past week. He isn't walking yet, but is always pulling himself up on everything! Most of his injures are due to him falling over, or bonking his head. We also lowered his crib this past week, which should have been done before...and we will not talk about why we did it this week. (Lets just say we are glad he is one tough little guy.)
He was super excited for his sign pictures!
Brooke of course also wanted to help Tyler with his sign pictures!
One of Tyler's very favorite activities is the stairs! As soon as he sees you coming, we tries to move faster, but since it makes him start laughing he normally starts to slide down. Then sliding down makes him laugh even harder. It's quite a funny little show!

Happy Easter!
Easter was such a great day. We started the morning by attending the church service at the church I grew up with, Bellbrook Community Church. The message was a very meaning full one obviously about the resurrection of Christ, and the Easter Holiday. After Church a quick lunch, and some short naps for the kids, we heading over to my Aunt Donna & Uncle Jerry's house for the annual Easter celebration, and egg hunt.
The number of egg hunting kids continues to grow! Plus there will be an additional 2 kids next year, we missed Edee due to the fact her brother, Thomas, is scheduled to be born tomorrow, April 12th! (We can't wait to hear the news!) Adventures of Shug Each year the hunt starts with a picture of all the kids on these same steps. This same group picture (different generation of kids of course) probably goes back 20 years! I will see how many of them I can find, and do a follow up post hopefully in the future. All the kids are "related" in some form from being cousin's cousin's kids, etc. We only see many of them at Easter, so its always a fun reunion.
Both Brooke and Tyler were very good at spotting the eggs.
The best part of the hunt is reviewing the treasure...aka candy when they are all done! Brooke & Emi made sure to sneak lots of pieces of chocolate in their months.
I believe the official count of eggs hidden this year was around 219 plastic and probably 5 or 6 dozen hard boiled. I think were only missing about 2 plastic and 1 hard boiled when we were finished. Good luck in finding those treasures in the near future Aunt Donna & Uncle Jerry! (I remember one year we found a hard boil egg from the year before...ewe!!)
33 Months Old
Our silly little girl is 33 months old! She got to "celebrate" her special day on Easter this year, and therefore her sign pictures were taken on Grandma S & Papa S's couch instead of her normal "picture chair." Good thing her mommy remember to print out her sign, and pack it with them!
Knock on wood, but I think Brooke is finally feeling healthy again, after these past few months of battling pneumonia, ear infections, etc, etc. She is on Children's Zyrtec for a few more weeks to make sure her cough and the pneumonia stay away, and then its off to the allergist in mid-May for a full exam. We have to take her this weekend to get blood work drown, which we really aren't looking forward to. I now understand the statement "Its harder on me than you," which I always thought was bogus growing up. Through the blood work they are able to measure the amount of proteins (I think), which are causing the egg allergy, and determine if the number is increasing, decreasing, or staying the same. Based on this analysis they can make an estimate on whether or not they think she will be able to get over the allergy, and approximately when. The other reason we are going to the allergist is to understand if the cough she keeps on getting is allergy related. We were planning on waiting a few years to go back, but due to her cough, it was highly recommended to take her in this spring. Whatever it takes to help us to understand what is going on, and keep our kiddo healthy!
Brooke's "official doctor" measure weight this month is 29 lbs! Also, her new phrase this month is "oopsie daisy". We are still trying to figure out where she picked that one up at. She also enjoys shows showing us her few "empty spots" on her belly after dinner, which have just enough room for two little M&Ms.
Here are her sign pictures, in her fun Easter dress!

Easter Fun in Cincy
We got to spend some good quality fun time in Cincy this past weekend on Friday & Saturday.
Happy Birthday Uncle Randy!
Brooke and Tyler were super excited to check out their Easter surprises from the Easter Bunny! How did the Easter Bunny know they both need another monkey shirt!?!? Plus the buckets will be fun to fill with lots of random stuff.

Another Visit to the Doctor!
Quick update! Turns out Tyler is allergic to penicillin like his mommy, and Aunt Lea! We have been fighting the hives all day, and I will be checking on him again in another hour to make sure it doesn't come back. Also, Brooke busted her lip on the side walk this evening...boo hoo. Good thing she is tough!

Hypochondriac?
Seriously, Brooke & Tyler's doctor must think I am a hypochondriac or something, or at least am having really bad luck with my kids lately! We are heading back to the doctor tomorrow to have Tyler's cough checked out, plus I am planning on bringing in pictures from his back tonight. Looks like I will be changing Brooke's allergy appointment to including Tyler as well!
We don't believe he ate anything new at daycare today, so guessing it must have been some kind of bug or spider bite. Fortunately, a 1/2 tsp of Benadryl cleared it all up in about 10 minutes. The little guy didn't even notice, but I think he did enjoy crawling around without his shirt for a little while.
Well I am off to try not to wake him now, as I recheck out his back!

Can I help you brush your teeth?
Every time Brooke sees us brushing our teeth, she quickly runs to her bathroom, and grabs hers to join. She also makes sure to grab Tyler's each time as well. Today she decided he needed help brushing them too.
Yes, I love getting pictures of Brooke giving Tyler a kiss on the check. She loves giving him a nite, nite kiss! Wonder how long I will be able to keep this up.

Seriously on April Fools Day!! So I wasn't planning on spending 2 hours creating a new blog tonight. I really feel like Google got me on this April Fools Day Joke. However, since my old blog still wouldn't let me load any pictures, and I don't feel like having to start a yearly fee, I decided to start over! I am also going to start doing group pictures, which are significantly reduced in size. For example, the size of the pictures below are 71KB, versus each picture by itself was about 1.6 MB.
So what do you think of my fancy owl hats for the kids? Good news is they are both pretty big, so they should still fit next winter as well!
Also, Tyler decided to do his own April Fools day joke today, as he just went over to the stairs and started climbing....or did he? I guess you will have to watch the video to find out if our 8 1/2 month old can really climb the stairs, or if that's our Aprils Fools day joke after all. (I was going to post the video below, but it took too long to upload...so check out my facebook to watch the video!)
